Film Review: Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die
By Matthew Moorcroft Strong Recommendation Directed by Gore Verbinski Starring Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Pena, Juno Temple R Maybe one of the few working directors who can actually earn the “from the twisted mind” phrase in his marketing, Gore Verbinski returns after a 9 year hiatus after audience soundly rejected the wildly underrated…

Film Review: Iron Lung
By Matthew Moorcroft Strong Recommendation Directed by Mark Fischbach Starring Mark Fischbach, Caroline Rose Kaplan, Troy Baker, Elle LaMont R Made on a small budget of $3 million or less, Iron Lung is something of a minor miracle in the fact that it’s even good in the first place. Mark Fischbach – better known as…

Film Review: Send Help
By Matthew Moorcroft Strong Recommendation Directed by Sam Raimi Starring Rachel McAdams, Dylan O’Brien, Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel R It’s been a long time since a full blown, true Sam Raimi flick hasn’t there? Film Review: Primate
By Matthew Moorcroft Solid Recommendation Directed by Johannes Roberts Starring Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, Troy Kotsur, Miguel Torres Umba R Primate is one of those movies that tells you everything you need to know about it basically right away before you even see it. A pet chimpanzee, named Ben, has gone rabid (quite literally, actually)…

By Matthew Moorcroft Highest Recommendation Directed by Rian Johnson Starring Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin PG-13 One of the best things about modern day cinema is that every couple of years, without fail, there is a new Benoit Blanc mystery available to us. The latest, Wake Up Dead Man, is probably the…
